Aerofoils Limited Warranty (United States)
Last updated: October 23, 2026 · Responsible company: Aerofoils USA Inc.
Who Gives This Warranty
Aerofoils USA Inc., 3 West Main Street #102A, Irvington, NY 10533, support.usa@aerofoils.com, +1 917 420 0903 ("Aerofoils").
Who Is Covered
This Limited Warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser of a new Aerofoils product from Aerofoils USA Inc. or an authorized Aerofoils dealer in the United States. If you sell or give the product to someone else during the warranty period, the remaining coverage for the board, foil, and drive system transfers to the new owner if the new owner notifies Aerofoils USA Inc. at support.usa@aerofoils.com within 30 days of the transfer and provides proof of the original purchase. Battery warranty coverage is not transferable and ends when the product is transferred.
What Is Covered and for How Long
Aerofoils warrants that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 2 years from the date of delivery to the original purchaser. Accessories are covered for 1 year. Loss of battery capacity through normal use and aging is not a defect; the battery is covered if its capacity falls below 70% of its rated capacity within the warranty period under normal use. For products used commercially, such as in rental, schools or demo fleets, this warranty covers functional defects for 1 year from the date of delivery, but not cosmetic issues.
What We Will Do
If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, Aerofoils will, at its option, repair or replace the product, using new or refurbished parts or products of equal or better function. If neither is possible, we refund the purchase price. For valid claims we pay all shipping costs within the 48 contiguous states, including hazmat shipping of batteries. Repaired or replaced products are covered for the rest of the original warranty period.
What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear, such as wear on deck pads, handles, impeller or propeller and wing edges, and cosmetic changes from sun, salt or use
- Damage from accidents, collisions, grounding, impacts, drops, or riding in water that is too shallow
- Damage caused by not following the Owner's Manual, including its charging, storage, rinsing and maintenance instructions
- Damage caused by improper repairs or modifications, or by incompatible parts or accessories
- Damage from fire, flood, lightning, freezing, storms and other events outside normal use
- Submersion or exposure beyond the limits stated in the Owner's Manual
- Damage from chemicals or solvents, including sunscreen or cleaners not recommended in the Owner's Manual
- Products used in a commercial environment, such as schools, rentals or demo fleets, except for the 1-year coverage of functional defects described above
- Products used for racing or competition
- Loss or theft
- Products bought from unauthorized sellers, used products (except where the remaining coverage has been transferred as described above), and products whose serial number has been removed or altered
Maintenance
We recommend an inspection after 12 months or 100 hours of use, whichever comes first, by Aerofoils, an authorized service partner or any qualified technician following our service instructions. Using an independent service provider or doing the maintenance yourself does not void this warranty, but damage caused by improper maintenance is not covered.
How to Make a Claim
- Contact us at support.usa@aerofoils.com or +1 917 420 0903 within the warranty period with your order number or proof of purchase, the product serial number, a description of the problem and photos or videos.
- We may troubleshoot with you remotely, send you a replacement part, or arrange for the product to be picked up or brought to an authorized service partner. Please do not ship batteries yourself.
Product Registration
You do not need to register your product to receive coverage under this Limited Warranty. Please keep your proof of purchase.
Limitation of Implied Warranties
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Exclusion of Incidental and Consequential Damages
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SUCH AS LOSS OF USE, RENTAL COSTS OR TRAVEL EXPENSES, ARISING FROM A BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
